DEMOCRACY IS A DECEPTION - A BOOBY-TRAP...
Men basic needs are not that much or so expensive to keep. Fortunately, Nigeria is so blessed to make life meaningful; provide comfortable housing, good foods, sound education and health facilities standardized, subsidized or free. Little wonder that Nigeria can conveniently afford these conveniently, beautiful and enjoyable but for whatever reasons, the opposite is the situation here. It is on record that Chief Obafemi Awolowo was planning a regime of free education for all citizens of his western region. One of his cohorts raised an eyebrow on this 'Awo' policy. When asked the reason for his objection, he responded that if all citizens were to gain education who would be the slave to their children? Who would wash their cars and polish their shoes and who would honor or respect them for their wealth when everybody becomes elite? Chief Awolowo’s response was quite instructive and enlightening. But as at today car washing is an enterprising, enriching and viable business, ditto for the cobblers who make shoes (Nike, St. Michael, Clark, Puma, Lady Cobbler etc).
That is one sad reason why in the Nigeria of today some small group of people consist of Nigerians and foreigners (Multinationals and countries) are holding everyone to ransom. The God gifted oil is been programmed not to benefit the lot of Nigerians but the few script writers as can be seen in the ‘Prison break.’
Democracy is a deception. Pragmatically, there has never
been a situation where majority have ever made a right choice. Majority is
synonymous with bandwagon. Peoples choice or positions on general affairs are
greatly influenced by peer and literacy level, leaning, perhaps family stand,
friends’ views, environment conditions, and other phenomena which are so much
not in tandem with realities.
Blaming GEJ for the present woes is therefore misnomer. He
did not put himself in power; he was fostered on the nation – though he was filled with Altadena
egoist ambition and he was not a good guy abinitio plus hi soiled track record. The 'bad guy' quality marked him out and serves as the reason for his been chosen
because he possessed the qualities of the bad leader they went out to shop for;
a leader who would hold on to the reign while the godfather have free day
looting the treasury. He planned to loot anyway hence his blatant refusal to declare
his asset after swearing in without any remorse whatsoever. He broke a constitutional provision and nobody went to court in Nigeria. May Allaah forgive the soul of Chief Gani Fawehinmi. Then money began to get lost and he was
caring less. The noise from the masses was not defeaning enough until Sanusi added his with style, for Aso Rock is noise proof anyway. Sanusi hit below the belt, he aimed at destroying his one ambition in life it est 2019. An ambition that GEJ can bargain the nation for hence a historic suspension. Sanusi is not a saint and his appointment was a product of back bargaining between GEJ and Saraki for the lateer to drop
his presidential aspiration in 2003. And like Ken Saro-Wiwa who was not a saint but turned around
to castigate Saint Abacha for the Niger Delta cause, he was brutally made to kiss the
soil.
The script writer for Nigeria are behind the curtain and GEJ cannot act unless with their blessings. OBJ was sarcastically playing the ballad lately testing their strength and relevance as King Makers; to know if the citizens still see them as relevant and the drama played itself out. It was nothing more than a plot; a plot by PDP to trap the ‘progressives’ and destroy them, and that was typical of Baba No Regret. He did that regularly not once, twice and he would do it again until Nigerians wise up and learn to ignore the old soldier. In actual fact, from all permutation, the next election has been concluded and the president known and sealed. What the cabals are simply doing at the moment is scheming on how to reduce the casualty level or perfect the game and make the nation play to the gallery.

The history of oil is really interesting. In the sixties, the
world oil was been tapped for free by the multinationals called the five
sisters –all owned by the west (Mobil, Chevron, Total, Exxon and Shell). The
world oil was been drilled and shipped out for free -no dine paid.
Until Colonel Gaddafi planned a coup that ousted the King in Libya and once in power, he called for the formation of OPEC (Organization of Petrleum Exporting Countries). OPEC demanded payment for oil exploration and lifting. The Arabs countries responded and the nozzle was tightened against the west. For the first time in history, the American president (Michael) had to ‘knee’ to the Monarch in Saudi Arabia. The Saudi King refused to betray the trust of OPEC, hence a failed trip for the American president. Gaddafi had his days and the west was held on the neck.

Enrico Matteau of Italy was the first world leader to pay
for oil in the 70s bowing to the OPEC wises. He formed Agip Oil which indicated
interest in paying for Oil. To compensate the Italian audacity, Enrico was
invited to the US to dialogue but his flight did not lift up above some feet
when it blew up mid air in Italy. Enrico paid the price for the liberation of
the oil producing countries. The regime for payment for oil was sustained but
Gaddafi was recorded in the red book of the west thenceforth. Colonel Mammah
Gaddafi won the fight for all –the Arabs nation including Nigeria- but he was
never forgotten nor forgiven by the west. He paid the supreme price in an Arab
spring –a civilian revolution traceable to the west.
Nigeria joined OPEC
and the era of free money began for the most populous African nation whose
mainstay was groundnut and cocoa. Nigeria was a threat to the west judging by
her size, human and material resources; military might and now added with a new
found enriching resource called black gold (oil). Nigeria can boast of a highly
tested and respected soldier in the region and possibly in the world. For this
and other calculation, the west devised a plan to subjugate her and ensure that
these advantage remain non beneficial to her growth and development.
Quoting the then head of state, General Yakubu Gowon when
the wealth of the country boomed. “we have money but do not know how to spend
it.” That was the statement that cealed the faith of Nigeria. The CIA and MIS
responded by noting that they shall help Nigeria spend (waste) that money.
Nigeria not finding her feet for fifty years was deliberate than failed
attempt. Many of the leaders who had vision and mission were assassinated. Her history
has such leaders as General Murtala Rmat Muhammad who was assassinated for
daring the west especially the United Kingdom over Zimbabwe and Mozambique.
General Sani Abacha whom many Nigeria were made to hate, but took Nigeria away
from the west and opened her up to Asia (China in particular. That was a threat
to the west to warrant the red alert raised to ten. No thanks to the power of
the media and propaganda who aided the Buckingham palace in the overthrow of
General Tunde Idiagbon of blessed memory.
The regime went all out to salvage the economy of this nation from crippling debts bedeviling it. Rather than borrow to upset the debt of about 400milion dollars owed the Paris club and IMF, the Saudi Kingdom offered a lifeline of 400million dollars non interest loan for a moratorium period of 20 years. That was the back breaker for the United Kingdom. The UK and the Queen in particular were threatened and reasoned that if the loan was secured and the Bretton-Woods, Paris club etc debt burden are paid, Nigeria will be out of the hook forever, and this cannot be allowed, especially after Idiagbon dared the UK by imprisoning a white pilot who broke traffic law in a toilet of the airport lounge, hence the commissioning of a fine Nigerian military officer to take over the government at any cost to the United Kingdom. Unfortunately, Christian Association of Nigeria CAN lend itself to this devil plot against the interest of Nigerian by conniving with the media, and falsified the news report that Idiagbon went to Saudi Arabia to negotiate the conversion of Nigeria into an Islamic state. The lies stuck and the officer took over and the government was a marriage of CAN and the evil genius. The evil genius later on dazzled CAN by exposing the criminal and odious activities of its president, Olubunmi Okojie in an article titled “Cassanova in Cassock”, which makes an interesting read in the early 90s. CAN, to digress remain pragmatically a den of deception, political than religious association. It has done more harm to Nigerians than good. Always on the side that is anti people – including christians. In prĂ©cis CAN is a cartel of sort or a den of 'evil' as OBJ tagged them after he had a meeting with them.

To compensate the UK, the fine officer first official assignment
was a killer foreign debt from World Bank which he secured while engaging the citizens in a fruitless debate. That debt build up so big that it was killing all attempt to jump start any development for the nation; that it took another CIA agent in government to
dramatically secure a debt relief that is now historic with GEJ. It is
necessary to mention that this CIA agent in government had aided the US against
his fatherland and nation on so many occasions. He was the first to upturn the favorable
trade relation between the US and Nigeria in the 70’s while in power. The
balance of trade was always in favour of Nigeria but with his destruction of
the Marketing Board and the importation of a single product called fertilizers
from the US the trade balance was tilted from surplus to an ever negative
figure against his fatherland Nigeria. Yet he has earned so many national award, he is called a Nationalist, a statesman rather
than a destroyer of his nation. To prevent future resuscitation of such a brilliant move to save Nigeria by any military officer like the Idiagbon/Buhari mistake, many souls were sacrificd including Idiagbon. Those who took over from Buhari have the mandate to
step aside but never step away from government and they are still in power. They are the cabal
and the kingmakers, the stooge working against the progress of their fatherland.
They handpick who rule and like a chess game guide Nigerian to make that choice that seem so, just like it is in the United State of
America and every other place.
Democracy is not free. It remains a deceptive approach to governance and modernized form of colonialism. In Algeria, when the FIS was poised to win, the French president vowed to turn Algeria back into a desert rather than allow the wish of the people to make an Islamic state out of their democracy. The same goes for Egypt. I had a discussion with some Egyptian friends shortly before the election asserting that Islam is like a castle (house) and democracy a room or an apartment, and that a house cannot fit into a room. I was chided and told to repeat that after they have won the election. When Morsi was ousted and arrested, these friends sought my view on what can I predict will follow. I predicted bloodbath. I told him, that America will rather turn Egypt into a desert than allow the Muslims in Egypt -whose citizens are highly enlightened and may infest the rest of the Arab world against the west –to use their democracy to enthrone the people’s wish (Islam) in Egypt. How many are dead by now? Nigeria maybe the next testing ground!

Saudi Arabia was to be the first litmus test when the
American insisted that Saudi must democratize. The Saudis did not object but
followed the democratic process with their brain. They carefully selected their
religious leader as their candidates and typical of the Arabs these spiritual
leaders won all the seat available at the local government levels. Rather than
insist on forcing the Saudis to continue with the democratic process, the
American saved face by dropping the idea of democracy in Saudi Arabia.
Nigeria is held down and from all directions, economically,
politically, socially and psychologically. The Nigerian youth are visionless,
lack direction, uncultured and no aspiration. The independence granted in 1960
remains cosmetic and from all indication, the power that be would rather take
Nigeria to war and break it up than permit a smooth transition to a good and
benefitting government. That may explain the Book Haram imbroglio which cannot
be explained from all typical Nigeria lifestyle- it is so strange and foreign.
The leader named shekau is not known –in a country where we cherish communal
life. No trace of his family history or group affinity while the execution of
their nefarious act was beyond the mental professional ingenuity of the award
winning Nigeria soldiers. From all indication, that is more foreign that homely
and it is certainly not local. I once had a dream in the holy land when I decided
to specifically dedicate some tawaf -fisabilillaah- to pray for my
country Nigeria. On conclusion of the circumbulation (tawaf), I rested but slept off
inside the Masjid Haram and I dreamt. God took me back to Nigeria where I saw
masquerades killing and maiming people on the street. My companion, whose face I could not see, asked
if I knew who was behind the mask. I answered in the negative and he mentioned
the name of the evil genius. I asked why is Allaah not dealing with the situation to restore peace,
and he responded by saying Allaah kulli shayin Qadir it est Allaah has power
over everything but that this people destroying your nation have asked Allaah to grant them a free reign for
the dunya and by implication they careless about the akhir (Hereafter) however, hope is not lost, God is witnessing
their atrocities and as they plot Allaah is also plotting and Allaah being the
master plotter will surely win. I woke back to life sweating but reassured that Tawalakt ala llaah to all believers.
Peace is not elusive while the believers should not lose hope because the
earth which is a temporal abode and the paradise of the assailant but their loot can never protect or save them before Allah even if they spend it all on His cause. In Islam, the means must justify the end and not the other way round. They have only
bargained the dunya and what a lost to the foolish. IF ONLY THEY REALISED IT. BUT OF CERTAINTY, THE END IS FOR THE STEADFAST...
